Our vessels for land and water!

Life is an adventure that ebbs and floods like the tides. You might have heard about people hiking a trail well what about paddling a trail. For different reasons we (Stephen, Aubree, Scott, and Kathryn) have decided that we needed a new chapter in our lives that included a new adventure and sea kayaking the Maine Island Trail seemed like a great opportunity this summer. Just 20, the Maine Island Trail is the oldest water trail in the country. There are now over 500 official water trails with many more being organized. The MIT extends over 350 miles and includes more than 160 islands. We hope to paddle the contiguous part of the trail that runs from Portland to Machias. Stopping to swim, meet friends, eat good food, and hopefully sail some along the way we expect this trip to take five weeks.
